Microsoft Implementasi Prosesor AMD Instinct dan AMD EPYC Generasi Terbaru

SANTA CLARA, California, AS - 20 Juli 2026- AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) hari ini mengumumkan perluasan kemitraan strategis dengan Microsoft yang mencakup GPU, CPU, solusi jaringan, dan software AMD di Microsoft Azure. Sebagai bagian utama dari perluasan kemitraan ini, Microsoft akan mengimplementasikan AMD Helios Rackscale Solution untuk mendukung inferensi model AI frontier bagi Microsoft, pelanggan AI-nya, serta layanan Azure AI. Selain itu, Azure juga akan menghadirkan dua virtual machine (VM) baru bertenaga prosesor AMD EPYC serta memperluas implementasi Pensando™ DPU guna mendukung layanan jaringan Azure. AMD akan mulai mengirimkan Helios kepada para pelanggan, termasuk Microsoft, pada paruh kedua tahun 2026.     

AMD Helios menggabungkan GPU AMD Instinct™ MI455X, CPU AMD EPYC™ "Venice", jaringan Pensando™, serta software ROCm™ dalam sebuah platform rackscale terbuka dan terintegrasi yang dirancang untuk pelatihan (training) dan inferensi AI berskala besar. Implementasi di Azure akan memanfaatkan Helios untuk menangani beban kerja inferensi yang mencakup model AI frontier, layanan Azure AI, serta berbagai aplikasi pelanggan.

Kolaborasi ini memperluas akses terhadap infrastruktur AI AMD di Azure. Pengembang model AI frontier kini dapat memanfaatkan infrastruktur berbasis AMD untuk melatih dan menjalankan model AI berskala besar, sementara pelanggan enterprise dapat mengimplementasikan serta meningkatkan skala beban kerja AI produksi melalui Azure Foundry Managed Compute.  

Dua VM terbaru Azure, yaitu Azure HDv2 untuk agentic AI dan data pipeline, serta Azure HXv2 untuk desain semikonduktor, bertenaga prosesor AMD EPYC "Venice" Generasi Keenam. Kehadiran kedua VM tersebut semakin memperluas portofolio AMD EPYC di Azure untuk mendukung berbagai beban kerja AI, data, dan rekayasa (engineering).    

Kolaborasi ini juga diperluas ke lapisan jaringan yang menghubungkan dan meningkatkan skala infrastruktur Azure. Melanjutkan implementasi luas AMD Pensando DPU oleh Microsoft, kedua perusahaan kini mengintegrasikan Azure Boost dengan teknologi AMD untuk meningkatkan performa jaringan, efisiensi, serta pemrosesan koneksi pada skala cloud.
